Welcome to the Catholic Church of St. Gregory, Weld Bank, Chorley
The Catholic Parish of St. Gregory at Weld Bank was established in 1774. It is the oldest Parish in Chorley.
Our magnificent church is sited at the end of Weldbank Lane in beautifully maintained gardens. There is a large Churchyard, which is an area of peace and tranquillity and you are welcome to visit it.
The parish community is an involved and active one. See the details of our Parish Groups
The Parish is served by two excellent schools; St. Gregory's Catholic Primary School and Holy Cross High School, which is a Specialist Science and Sports College.
There is a licenced Parish Centre available for the use of parishioners for weddings, family parties, baptism celebrations, funerals and other occasions.
The Parish warmly invites you to meet with us at our Sunday Masses - 9.30am, 11.00am and 6.30pm. Marriages, Baptisms and other celebrations can be arranged at times convenient for you.
I am available at the Priest's House adjacent to the church.
